We are thrilled to invite you to an exciting lineup of social events during the IFA 2025 Congress in Lisbon. Along with insightful sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to experience Lisbon’s charm through unique social gatherings. Here is a sneak peek on a few things to expect:

Lisbon Golf

IFA Golf Tournament. Saturday, 4 October 2025, full day

Join us for the IFA Congress 2025 in Lisbon and experience the excitement of the 4th Golf Tournament. This exclusive event offers a full day of golf at the prestigious Penha Longa Resort Golf Courses, featuring the renowned Atlantic Championship course. 
The 18-hole Atlantic Championship, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, opened in 1992 and staged the Portuguese Open two years later. Every hole is different and exciting, with Jones using the contours to great effect. The course has a superb flow to it and the views throughout are magnificent, especially away from the coastal towns of Cascais and Estoril and the blue Atlantic ocean.
The event is open to both participants and accompanying persons, providing an exceptional opportunity to network. Don't miss out — reserve your spot!

Lisbon Tours

Guided tours. Sunday 5 October, morning

Participants can enjoy one of the following guided tours before the official start of the Congress:

Belém Monumental. An unforgettable tour in one of Lisbon’s noble areas, Belém. Also known for its renowned role in the Era of the Discoveries, featuring iconic buildings from the 15th and 16th century: the beautiful Jeronimo's Monastery, the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries.
Schedule: 9:30-12:30 

Lisbon Walking Tour. Explore the famous, vivid, and picturesque neighbourhoods of Lisbon: Rossio, Alfama, Baixa and Chiado and their best sights: the Rossio Railway Station, the narrow streets of Alfama, the Praça do Comércio, formerly “Terreiro do Paço”, and the traditional
shopping area of Chiado that mixes old and modern commercial establishments, mostly located at the Carmo and Garrett streets.
Schedule: 9:30-12:30

Sintra Glorious Eden. Enjoy the delightful town of Sintra, in the outskirts of Lisbon immortalized by the World-famous poet Lord Byron as "Glorious Eden". Sintra is a beautiful small “fairytale” village with lovely palaces and manor houses hidden by the vegetation of the hills of the “Mountain of the Moon” name given to this place by the first settlers to this fantastic mythic area. The tour will include a visit at the Sintra National Palace, also known as the Town
Palace, whose features are characteristic of Medieval, Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance and Romantic architecture. 
Schedule: 9:00-13:00 

The tours can be booked through the registration form and are free of charge for Congress participants and accompanying persons. Limited spots; first-come, first-served. The choice of tour cannot change following the submission of the registration form.

Opening Ceremony. Sunday 5 October, 18.30-19.30

Congress Dinner – Convento do Beato. Wednesday 8 October, 19.00-00.00

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Convento do Beato, a historic venue that perfectly blends tradition and elegance. This exclusive event for Congress participants offers the ideal setting for networking and celebration in a unique atmosphere. Enjoy exceptional dinner choices listening to one of the most famous Portugese guitarists and dance the night away under the sound of one of the most uplifting local bands and DJs.  

The history of Convento do Beato dates back to the 15th century when Queen Isabel commissioned a hermitage to be built. In the 16th century, Friar António da Conceição, later known as Blessed António, encouraged the construction of a convent over the hermitage.
In the late 18th century, one wing of the convent was repurposed as a Royal Military Hospital. In 1834, after a devastating fire, merchant João de Brito acquired part of the buildings.
Today, Convento do Beato is widely regarded as one of the best event venues in Europe.
